Super fight alert!
With 30 Million Pounds at stake, Amir Khan vs. Manny Pacquiao fight is set to take place on April 23rd. Both have announced the fight on twitter and other social media platforms as well.
According to Khan,
“When I sparred with Manny he was dangerous, they were hard rounds and I knew then that one day I would fight him. I have been ready for a long time and I thought he was going to avoid me like Mayweather.”
And not just them, everyone in boxing world knew that these two great fighters will have a fight one day and that fight will be one of the most anticipated fights in boxing history. Legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach is training Amir Khan after a fresh sixty-second knockout loss.
Roach knows exactly what Khan needs as he saw his sparring session with Manny in 2008 at his Wild Card Gym. According to Roach,
“People in the gym asked me if I was doing the right thing, I was doing the only thing; I needed to know if Amir still wanted to be a boxer. I found out he did.”
Manny ran a twitter poll asking people to vote for someone they want Manny to fight and people chose Amir Khan. There was a lot of speculation on whether Manny will honor his word or not and turns out, he did! The fight will now take place on a Sunday in Hong Kong or UAE. We can’t deny the possibility of the event happening in a casino in Las Vegas either. Manny’s legal advisor Michael Koncs said,
“Yes, the fight will be held in The UAE”
The exhilarating point about this fight will be three things: Crowd anticipation, Money and Manny’s commitment to being a Congressman as well, because he has been a shortfall in his performance in his last fights and the fight against Mayweather left him with a shoulder injury too. So spectators have a lot to talk about. It will also shed some light on Mayweather coming back to the ring and start training again. Besides, people always love the fight between legends.
